Finland. Since i was a kid I have been in love with Finland. I remember the stories of that country far far faaaar away from Peru. A place with snow, reindeers and where the sun never sets.
When I got the invitation for the Reima & Visit Finland Event I was soooo excited! So excited, I looked up in google for the wrong place and ended up in a totally different district (same street name though) After biking for 19 more minutes, I arrived at a beautiful location in Friedrichshain. Filled with laughter, kids, playful giggles and joy.
There was a finnish buffet, and Pepa jumped to get the cinnabuns. I tried it all and was so delicious, I was teletransported to my trip to Finland 2 years ago.
There was a bonfire, s'mores, games, makeup artists... heaven for kids, and parents. It was such a nice fall evening and Katja Hentschel showed it so well in these beautiful pictures.
But more about the reason of this event. The Worlds Health Organization (WHO) recommends that every kid should be at least 1 hour active. Sadly, many kids do not achieve that activity quota and this is a great risk for their growth and health in general. So the Reima Kidventure Challenge, is a way to make kids more active. Achieve the goal of million hours of joy!
Lets get our kids moving! Reima started this campaign in Finland and now is encouraging 15 more countries to add their hours of activity to the campaign's website. And by adding your kids hours of joy, you can win a family active trip to the winter paradise: Ruka.
While the kids were outside, doing crafts, getting their face painted or playing with bubbles, we (parents) got to listen all the marvels of Ruka, Finland and Reima's Challenge while sipping coffee in the cozy Old Smithys.
It was a great event, and the fire roasted salmon was delicious!. We had fun and Pepa got so dirty that you know for sure she had fun. We will joining the #millionhoursofjoy and we will keep you posted!
I'm Andrea - a food enthusiast and blogger. Recently I noticed I have been answering a lot of questions about what I buy for my daughter Pepa, or what are my thoughts in certain "mom stuff". This is how I realised I should start a blog about being mom.. Or "Mom" like me! I hope to share my thoughts, amazing, things I buy and amazing recipes with other moms, just like me!
